Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces spaghetti or your choice of pasta
  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chili paste or sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade by mixing soy sauce, brown sugar, chili paste, and minced garlic in a small bowl.
  2. Toss the sliced steak in the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, then add the marinated steak and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  4. Cook your preferred pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and reserve a cup of pasta water.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the remaining steak sauce, mixing well and adding reserved pasta water if needed.
  6. Top with seared steak and serve with garnished parsley.

Notes

  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, add a splash of water or broth to keep the pasta moist.
