- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a shallow dish, combine parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs.
- In another dish, beat the eggs.
- Dip each chicken breast in the egg mixture, then dredge in the parmesan and breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Place the coated chicken breasts in a baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the crust is golden brown.
- While the chicken is baking, prepare the sauce: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute to create a roux.
- Gradually pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
- Bring to a simmer, then stir in parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Continue to simmer until the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency.
- Place the baked chicken on a plate and generously drizzle with the creamy garlic parmesan sauce. Serve immediately.
