Description

This Family Favorite Glazed Ham is a succulent, sweet, and savory masterpiece perfect for holidays and special occasions. With a caramelized glaze of brown sugar, honey, and Dijon mustard, this ham is juicy, tender, and guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8-10 lb) fully cooked bone-in ham
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • Whole cloves (for studding)
  • ½ cup pineapple juice (or apple juice)
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Place ham on a rack in a roasting pan, fat side up. Score the fat if desired.
  2. Insert whole cloves into the ham for extra flavor (optional).
  3. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, ground cloves, pineapple juice, and apple cider vinegar. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Brush half the glaze over the ham, cover loosely with foil, and bake for 1.5 hours.
  5. Remove foil, brush with remaining glaze, and bake uncovered for 20-30 minutes until caramelized.
  6. Let rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use a fully cooked ham for convenience.
  • Baste occasionally with pan juices for extra moisture.
  • For deeper caramelization, broil the ham for the last 2-3 minutes.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
