Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu, drained
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish
  • Steamed rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut into cubes and coat lightly with cornstarch.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat, and fry tofu cubes until golden brown on all sides (about 10 minutes).
  3. In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and sesame oil, simmering over low heat for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
