Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced beef and sauté until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and stir-fry for an additional minute.
- In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Blanch broccoli florets for 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.
- Add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, mixing well. After 1 minute, add the blanched broccoli and combine thoroughly.
- Stir in the remaining soy sauce and optional oyster sauce, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- To freeze, ensure broccoli is fully cooled; texture may change upon thawing.
- Enhance serving by adding sesame seeds or green onions.
