Description

This Chicken Bread recipe is a comforting and flavorful dish that combines the goodness of bread, juicy chicken, and melted cheese. Perfect as an appetizer, snack, or light meal, this chicken bread bake is sure to be a hit!


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (seasoned)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 slices of your favorite bread
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (or any cheese you prefer)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Optional: garlic powder, paprika, parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken breasts thinly to create cutlets. Season with salt, pepper, and spices.
  2. In three separate shallow dishes, place breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese, the beaten eggs mixed with milk, and have the seasoned chicken cutlets ready. Dip each cutlet in the egg mixture, then dredge it in the breadcrumb mixture.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the breaded chicken cutlets in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Place each chicken cutlet on a slice of bread.
  4. Place a slice of cheddar cheese (or your preferred cheese) on top of the chicken on each slice of bread. Place the assembled chicken bread on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
