- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 strips of cooked bacon, chopped
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup bourbon BBQ sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 sandwich rolls
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, chopped bacon, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Combine well to form a cohesive mixture.
- Form the mixture into meatballs about one inch in diameter. Heat a large frying pan over medium heat and place the meatballs in the pan. Cook, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Pour in the bourbon BBQ sauce and simmer for 5 minutes until well-coated.
- Slice the sandwich rolls open and layer on the cooked meatballs. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and additional bacon if desired. Place on a baking sheet and broil briefly until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the subs from the oven once melted. Drizzle additional bourbon BBQ sauce over the top if desired, and serve hot.
