Description

Indulge in these Bourbon BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Meatball Subs that are ready in just 30 minutes! Combining savory bacon, flavorful bourbon BBQ sauce, and melty cheese, they’re perfect for quick weeknight dinners or game day feasts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 strips of cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup bourbon BBQ sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 sandwich rolls
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, chopped bacon, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Combine well to form a cohesive mixture.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs about one inch in diameter. Heat a large frying pan over medium heat and place the meatballs in the pan. Cook, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Pour in the bourbon BBQ sauce and simmer for 5 minutes until well-coated.
  3. Slice the sandwich rolls open and layer on the cooked meatballs. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and additional bacon if desired. Place on a baking sheet and broil briefly until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  4. Remove the subs from the oven once melted. Drizzle additional bourbon BBQ sauce over the top if desired, and serve hot.
